Quad is an improved version of the standard Pavilion Dv6t. Though the previous one was powered by the Intel core 2 duo dual core processor, this new version is using the core i7 720 QM or 820 QM quad core Central Processing Unit. This enables the new machine to process much faster.
As this laptop is equipped with the best processor by Intel so far, it could do anything that the user demands. Out of the two processors 720 QM and the 820 QM speeds of 1.6 and 1.73GHZ could be generated respectively. With the new turbo technology incorporated in this laptop, you have the option to increase the speed up to 2.8 and 3.6 GHZ. This is a very special feature incorporated in this machine. Also it comes with a DDR3 RAM of 2 gigabytes with room for more. So, there is no dearth of RAM.
On hard disk space too, you have nothing to worry with Quad as it comes with options for hard disk space of 250 GB, 500 GB and 640 GB. You will never run out of hard disk space with HP DV6 Quad.
On graphics too this laptop is very good. It has a Vida George graphic card which could handle any type of graphics either 3D or 2D. So, it makes a good machine for those who play games too.
You have the option to customize your HP Dv6t. The possibility is there to add a finger print reader to keep unauthorized access away from you laptop. For this feature however, you need to purchase a webcam.
When you consider all the features available with this laptop, it appears to be a powerful machine that is capable of lot of tasks with its powerful processor. Also its ability to display graphics is very good. Its high storage capacity is a bonus for the user. The ability to boost speed with turbo boost is a very useful new feature.
The only disadvantage with this classy laptop is its lack of 1920×1080 resolutions. It has only up to 1366×768. This is a feature that should have been there. In case it was there, the details of graphics could have been seen well.
However, for a price tag of around $1000 it is a good buy. As it has a futuristic processor you will be able to enjoy its features for a long time.
